the rest is history

September 22, 2010

How did your parents meet? Here’s are some answers we didn’t hear around the small group dinner table this week:

  • Mom and Dad both worked at a grocery store. As she checked him out, he decided to stop stocking, start bagging, and ask her to walk down the aisle. (Based on Kathy’s true story.)
  • Mom went to jail, and Dad was taken with her.
  • Dad tripped on the way to his optometry appointment, and Mom caught his eye.
  • Mom worked at a haberdashery, and suited Dad just right.
  • Both in the agriculture business, they got hitched at the Farmer’s Union.

How about yours?

My Grandfather was riding on the handle bars of his friend’s bike when he spotted my grandmother on the side of the road. He fell head over heals for her!
