for the locals

June 25, 2009

Did you know that every day during the summer, there’s a free concert at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis? The schedule contains an interesting variety of styles, so see if anything appeals to you.

We’re planning to attend the bluegrass celebration next Monday, June 29th, at 7pm. Walking by a lake, eating ice cream and listening to live music—sounds like a great summer evening to me!

Want to join us? Show up on your own, or get in touch with me if you want to coordinate!

Thanks for reminding me about this! I won’t be able to make Monday, but I’m definitely going to make it out there sometime this summer

Hooray for bluegrass. Can’t believe it is catching on with so many Yankees. Maybe there’s hope for “you people” yet.

My in-laws have been into bluegrass for a long long time, and they introduced its awesomeness to me. Peter plays mandolin a bit. We actually had a “Hymn Sing and Bluegrass Jam” for our rehearsal dinner last year, and it was a lot of fun! Whoa, I gotta go turn on the radio… Bluegrass Saturday Morning is on.
